About Shirley DePasse

What I enjoy most about being a licensed Realtor is helping people successfully navigate the complex market here in Southern California. To be effective at that I stay current on market trends, work tirelessly and negotiate deals for my clients as if I were spending my own money. It's a strategy that's rewarded me with a solid base of satisfied repeat clients who also generously refer me to their families and friends.

My early experience as a plan check technician for city building permits gave me a keen eye for a good value. Since then and during my 14 years of successful real estate sales experience, I've achieved the following certifications.

CDPE, Certified Distressed Property Expert. Gave me the specific education necessary to help homeowners facing foreclosure.

ABR, Accredited Buyer's Representative & CRS, Certified Residential Specialist. I wanted to understand transactions from more than one perspective so I became certified in representing both seller's AND buyer's of real estate.

SRES, Senior Real Estate Specialist. Achieving this designation required that I successfully complete a large number of real estate transactions to insure I held the knowledge and experience to help seniors with their specific real estate needs.

BPOR, Broker Price Opinion Resource. I learned the same skills banks and appraisers use to evaluate property value.

CIPS, Certified International Property Specialist. Broadening my understanding of real estate markets around the world enabled me to help individuals from other countries.

Selecting a good real estate agent is an important decision you'll have to make while on the way to achieve your current real estate goals. My partner, Kathy Graves, and I are able to offer you double the effort and results. We’d be grateful for the opportunity to meet with you so you can decide if you agree that our experience and education teamed with your goals and desires creates a winning combination.

We look forward to meeting you.

About Kathy Graves

Shirley DePasse introduced me to real estate sales when she sold my house. It was through that experience and a trip to Greece that we became good friends and I still count her among my best of friends to this day.

In 2009 I retired from a frustrating career in commercial construction due to our failing economy. It was at that time that I started looking for a new career and noted Shirley’s passion for real estate and how hard she worked for her clients. When I asked her if she’d teach me about real estate in exchange for my help, she readily agreed. That’s how our partnership began and today we are both licensed and experienced real estate agents.

GOD is our Company CEO so we’ve adopted a policy to treat every client the way we would want to be treated. We believe in honesty, professionalism and hard work and our goal is to help every client prosper from their real estate dealings with us.

Shopping on the internet is a good 1st step to home buying but when you seriously want to purchase your next home, you’ll want to establish a relationship “face to face” with a good realtor to represent your interests. Shirley and I are those people and we’d appreciate the opportunity to meet with you so you can decide if you feel we’d be a great team working for you. Blessings!

  1. Start out right
Use technology and the Internet. No matter what some of the "older and more experienced" may tell you, you need the Internet to market in the real estate world today.
  2. Price it right
Activity in the first month of a listing is always the best, so don't risk wasting it. Price too high, and scare off many buyers and other agents. Don't get caught up in pricing games.
  3. Sell by season
No matter what the season, home selling is a year-round sport. Use seasonal accents to make potential buyers linger longer.
  4. Be the "neighborhood expert"
Always know what's on the market, what sold recently, and the overall status of the neighborhood. Nowadays, anyone can look at houses online but the top agents know what lurks below the surface.
Studies show that home sellers who use a real estate agent to represent them generally get a better price than those who sell the home themselves. Real estate agents are up-to-date on critical processes and can help keep you out of trouble. They can also help you get your home sold at the best price in the right time frame. Equally as important, real estate agents add objectivity to an inherently emotional transaction: the sale of your home.
  6. Before Your Home Is Listed
It's important to have your home in good showing condition before buyers start going through it. Here are some steps to take:
    • Touch up interior and exterior paint as needed.
    • Install new carpeting and flooring if it appears worn or dated.
    • Make sure the front is clean and spruced up – curb appeal will create a favorable first impression.
